Catching another glimpse from behind her mask.
Who's that Bear?
Chloe's pre-school class made bear masks. She slept with it during her nap and enjoyed playing peek-a-boo with it.
Ah, the weekends
This past weekend we went into the city again to go here and purchase some items for Chinese New Year which is February 18. We got some slippers for Chloe and some banners to hang on our front door for CNY. We also got some traditional red envelopes. We have been reading books to Chloe on CNY customs and celebrations. She loves the lion dance. Of course, she has seen a lion dance but she was very young and probably doesn't remember it. After some shopping we walked from Chinatown to enjoy a traditionally British lunch here. It was awesome. Chloe even enjoyed it. We are excited to have made the discovery of it and it's sister restaurant for a traditional English breakfast. We also popped into the British foods store in between the two restaurants and bought some English sweets and took away a homemade sticky toffee pudding for dessert! You have to love NYC discoveries like this.
Today we met some other waiting families who also sent their dossier to China in September at the aquarium in Camden. We managed to get lost and separated from the group only to find others who were looking for the group. Chloe had a great time. The sharks scared her a little, but she warmed up to them and keeps talking about the sharks asking Daddy, "what a shark say?". As we left the aquarium she demanded we take her to the zoo now. Maybe later.
Philly
Matt & Chloe all smiles as we leave the aquarium. This photo is taken just outside the aquarium. That is the Delaware River and Philadelphia in the background.
Shark
Chloe had fun putting her head through the hole to have her picture taken as a different sea creature.
Sea Star
Chloe touching a sea star (a.k.a starfish) at the aquarium. She would pet the sea star but not the shark or sting ray.
Chloe's Slippers
Chloe modeling her new red Chinese slippers which she declares are like her Daddy's shoes (not quite).

More Christmas Photos
Rockefeller Center
PaPaw, Chloe and BeBe in front of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center. Chloe doesn't look happy in this photo because she is hungry and Santa Claus is waving at her from a window to the left of the tree. That crazy old man won't leave her alone during the holidays!
Jammin'
It's a nice look for Chloe...she has her new Mary Jane Crocs on, her Carhardt's (with her PJ's underneath) and her MP3 player.
A New Years Walk in the Woods
Keeping our new year's resolution to get fit in tact, Matt & I set out with Chloe this morning to take a hike in the woods not too far from where we live. We purchased a backpack carrier for Chloe and she rode in style. We set out on a 5-mile "ramble" as it was called only to find out that someone's definition of a ramble differed from ours. We ended up taking a 10-mile hike through the mountains. It was fun and felt good to get a good start on the resolutions.
