The Day After...

We enjoyed all the good food of Thanksgiving at home this year. We have developed a family tradition which combines the very American Thanksgiving with a very English tradition...the turkey curry buffet. The day after Thanksgiving, Matt uses his love and knowledge of Indian food to turn the leftover turkey into a curry dish. Other than buying the ingredients, I take a seat. This year Matt had a helper-Chloe.

We also prepared for cold weather by having some firewood delivered. We have already had two dustings of snow and everyone has declared that this winter will be a cold one in the northeast. Better be prepared.

Thanksgiving Feast

Today was the Thanksgiving Feast at Chloe's pre-school. Chloe began the event dressed as a Pilgrim and ended the event dressed as a Native American.
The kids sang songs, played games and had a nice, big Thanksgiving meal prepared by the parents.

House Hunting

Anne, Chloe and I went house-hunting along the Hudson River upstate on Friday. We like this one the best. Its got a great view. Too bad its not for sale--it's a national park now, but at one time it belonged to the Vanderbilt family.
We really went up to visit Hyde Park and the FDR Library and home.
I managed to snap one photo of Chloe along the banks of the Hudson.

Matt, Anne (Nana) & Chloe at the train stattion in Hoboken.

We've been keeping busy with all of the holiday preparations and other extracurricular activities. Matt's Mum is visiting and we went into the City to view some sights. I took my camera but this is all I came back with.

Matt's Mom, Anne, visiting for the next few weeks. She will be with us through the beginning of December.

This past Sunday we went to Bear Mountain to show Anne the view. On a clear day, you can see down the Hudson to NYC. We were lucky and we had a nice crisp, clear day.
